By now we all know that sobriety checkpoints are a fact of life. If you live a social life, and have been out late at night, chances are you have been stopped by the the police and subjected to some degree of roadside interrogation in an attempt to determine whether you were drinking or not.
As a Montgomery County DUI lawyer, I have defended a lot of clients that were ensnared in these checkpoints. Very often, I am called upon to argue the lawfulness of these checkpoint in court as part of my client’s defense.
